Importance of Cause of Death

Being an adopted child I have been doing a lot of my own research on my biological family. I am fortunate enough to have the details of my birth family and not that I want to contact them necessarily but because I have some health problems and I want to know if they are genetic. I have been able to track down the cause of death in my immediate family and in some cases it was good because it ruled out the possibility that what I had was genetic. This is a valuable piece of information and it gives me a lot of hope for my health.
