Water Sounds are a pleasant addition to the garden

For a relaxing addition to your outside garden, the sounds of water flowing is a popular option.  Placing a fish pond gives the yard an interesting addition with living creatures swimming around.  Certain types of fish will live through the winter, living low in the pond until the frost melts and the spring arrives, when they will surface. The size of your garden will determine what type of water feature is best, such as fountains, or rocks that allows water to flow down in steps.  These can be placed in the center of gardens, or alone in a corner to add focal points, pleasant sounds, and may even make one feel cooler in the summer heat.
