I never really believed that the stage hypnosis was real. I always suspected that it was all set up and the “volunteers” from the crowd were somehow “planted” and just decent actors. I found this website that was advertising a Quit Smoking Hypnosis program and wondered the same thing. So I asked a friend of mine who is a psychiatrist to level with me. “Does this stuff really work?”, I asked. I was surprised to hear him tell me that he uses hypnosis all the time and that if I wanted to pay his hourly fee, he would try to use it to make me quite. I know what he charges so I declined (the program on the website was only $40.00!)
