Aviation management jobs are related to advising those in the lesser management status about the requirements for aircraft and other equipment consistent with the company’s transportation needs and goals. Aviation management jobs establish and maintain records as required by manufacturers, and company policies. Aviation management prepares short- and long-range plans that include corporate and departmental objectives. They also develop departmental staff to realize their full potential and set performance expectations and conduct performance management evaluations in a timely manner. The aviation management also has to ensure that the department personnel are thoroughly familiar and comply with company policies, and pertinent operating manuals, practices and publications. The aviation management establishes programs for pilots and maintenance technicians, including proficiency reviews, initial training, recurrent training, and upgrade training. A graduate degree with 3 years of aviation management experience is required to be a part of the aviation management. He/ She should possess strong leadership and management skills. The candidate should also hold an airline transport pilot (ATP) certificate with appropriate type ratings.
